

CHI is a spiritual energy that helps us to become physically stronger, mentally focused, energized and revitalised. As well as the physical effects, cultivating our CHI helps us to improve our health and wellbeing. So, with the theme “Find Your CHI”, JCI Bangladesh hosted the largest ever 2-day training Academy for its Members, JCI Bangladesh Academy 2021. The Academy started on 17th September 2021 at Brac CDM. Covid Testing was a pre-requisite for all the participants to tackle the current pandemic. The opening ceremony was graced by JCI Bangladesh National President of 2021, Niaz Morshed Elite and Past National Presidents Md. Shakawat Hossain Mamun & Ahmed A Rahman. They emphasized on the importance of personal capacity building and how the Academy will help the participants to truly outshine their true potential. The Academy had a total of 7 different notable trainers or as specified in the academy as “Shifus”. They were, Paschal Dike, Past JCI World President & a member of Nigerian Institute of Training and Development (NITAD), M Nazrul Islam, Past National President of JCI Bangladesh & graduate of JCI Academy in Handa, Japan, Quazi M. Ahmed, one of the top leadership and soft skills facilitators in Bangladesh, Ghulam Sumdany Don, Chief Inspirational Officer at Don Sumdany Facilitation & Consultancy, Tanvir Hasan, founder of the fitness & lifestyle coaching company Tanvir Hasan Coaching and a progressive fitness academy called Bengal Calisthenics, Mr. Ishtiaq Ahmed, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police in Dhaka Metropolitan Police supervising the Digital Forensic Team & E-fraud Team of CT-Cybercrime Investigation Division, Michelle McGrann, founding partner of Coeus Creative Group & former Chairperson of the JCI Skills Development Committee. The training modules focused on the personal development with topics such as BUSHIDO, IKIGAI, CHIMUWAKU, SEIKAKU, SHIKANTAZA, KASOU GENJITSU and JIAN.
The CoC for the event was Ziaul Haque Bhuiyan, JCI Bangladesh National Treasurer, while Co-CoC of the event was Mehedi Hossain, JCI Bangladesh National Committee Chair. Other National Officers and Local Presidents were also present in the Academy and facilitated to make the Academy one of the successful events in recent times.
JCI Bangladesh plans to continue to provide development opportunities for its members in the

JCI Bangladesh Entrepreneurs Summit & Young Entrepreneurs Award 2021

Junior Chamber International, Bangladesh organised the very first Entrepreneurship Summit and Young Entrepreneurs Award with the aim to highlight and honour the entrepreneurial success of both JCI and non-JCI members. With the support of Daraz and Ahmed Foods, it arranged the award-giving ceremony at the Le Meridien hotel in the capital on Saturday. National President of JCI Bangladesh Niaz Morshed Elite congratulated all the award honorees and emphasised the importance of entrepreneurship in the 21st century. State Minister for disaster management and relief Md Enamur Rahman graced the
programme as chief guest, while Safina Rahman, past national president of JCI Bangladesh and national commissioner of Bangladesh Scouts, Shagufta Yasmin Emily, parliament member from Munshiganj-2 constituency were present. The award honourees for this particular category included Tahmina Tanna, Natasha Hayat, Roksana Samad, Afeef Zubaer Zaman, Ataur Rahim Chowdhury, Imran Fahad and Rakibul Hassan. In the event, the entrepreneurs within JCI Bangladesh were also honoured and recognised through the JCI Bangladesh Young Entrepreneurs Award 2021 for their remarkable entrepreneurial accomplishments and for playing an important role in advancing the JCI vision and mission.
The event is expected to promote entrepreneurship, particularly among JCI Bangladesh members by providing them with the required support. As of 2020, approximately 63.7 percent of Bangladesh’s population were under the age of 35. JCI Bangladesh believes that this demographic dividend is an opportunity to capitalise through youth entrepreneurship.



JCI BANGLADESH TOYP 2021

JCI Bangladesh is organizing the JCI Ten Outstanding Young Persons (JCI TOYP) program in
Bangladesh, to honor ten outstanding young people under the age of 40 each year. These
individuals exemplify the spirit of the JCI Mission, and they serve as stellar examples of
entrepreneurial spirit and ethical leadership. Whether through a business, scientific endeavors, or
their impact on society, these young active citizens turn challenges into opportunities locally and
globally.
For the first time in the history of JCI Bangladesh, the Award Ceremony is taking place at Cox’s
Bazar along with a Beach Carnival. The event will commence on the eve of 26th November 2021.
Dr. Hasan Mahmud MP, Honourable Minister, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government
of the People’s republic of Bangladesh, graced JCI Bangladesh TOYP 2021 as the Chief Guest
while Mr. Saimun Sarwar Kamal, Member of Bangladesh Parliament, MP for Cox’s Bazar-2, and
Mr.Asheq Ullah Rafiq, Member of Bangladesh Parliament, MP for Cox’s Bazar-2, grace the event
as special guests.
The awardees are Barrister Iftekhar Jonaed for Outstanding Contribution in Legal Affairs, Tajdin
Hassan for Outstanding Contribution in Humanitarian Leadership, Dr. Ashikur Rahman for
Outstanding Contribution as an Economist, Monir Hosen for Outstanding Contribution in
Technological Development, Zia Ashraf for Outstanding Contribution in Entrepreneurial
Accomplishment, Asif Zahir for Outstanding Contribution in Business Accomplishment, Engr.
Mehedi Hasan for Outstanding Contribution in Academic Accomplishment, Sasheen Masood
Hassan for Outstanding Contribution in Personal Accomplishment, Barrister Sheikh Fazle Nayem

JCI BANGLADESH BEACH CARNIVAL 2021

Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh organised beach carnival for its members on 27th December 2021. The event was graced with captivating perfromance from Miles’. The band members of Miles got on the stage with Hamin Ahmed at 9:30 pm that night. At first they impressed everyone with their great instrumental performances. Then they sang all the popular songs of Miles one by one. They also cover a few English songs. The band left the stage singing one of their most popular songs, ‘Firiye Dao’. Before the concert, the members of the organization played cricket and football on the beach, while the lunch served was traditional “Mejban”. The enitre event was organized by members of JCI Chittagong Cosmopolitan.
