LP quote

“As a Local President, JCI has given me a chance to take many challenges to run my Chapter successfully and proof myself as a Dynamic Leader. In fact, it has transformed my leadership skill and given me a vision to be a leader in the National as well as International level.”

1st project

Children are our future and as Mother Theresa said, “if you cannot feed a 100, then just feed 1”. With that motto in mind JCI Dhaka East launched Cheers for Humanity 2.0, an annual project initiative of JCI Dhaka East to help the needy. Through the project our dynamic team led by Local President Eazaz Mohammed distributed 100 special eid gift packages with Eid Clothes, brand new school bags and family size food essentials package to 100 needy children and their families. Special thanks to our JCI Bangladesh’s National Secretary General Rumana Chowdhury for her gracious presence. The event was held in FAPA Bangladesh, a local non-profit organization that supports disadvantaged children, youth and their families in rural and semi-urban communities of Sreepur Upazila under Gazipur district.

2nd project

On 16th October Saturday, JCI Dhaka East have successfully arranged a Rise Project “Mental Health” along with JCI Dhaka Cosmopolitan in collaboration with Sukorma Foundation. It’s a Mental Health support Camp for the street children. Initially a survey was done on street children in Dhaka city to find the issues that they struggle with in daily life, where 30 random street children were picked as sample for the survey. In the first stage of this initiative, we focused on mental health development of these children. This included free mental health checkup, counselling and awareness campaign. Later on, we will take other initiatives to rehabilitate these children and give them a better standard of life. A special thanks to GD Assist and Prattidhoni Foundation for supporting us in this noble cause.
