Dear JCI Bangladesh Members,

Greetings from the desk of the National President. It is my honor and pleasure to congratulate each one of you for being an integral part of the change in JCI this year. You all are the successful change makers of JCI Bangladesh!

It is an absolute honor and privilege for me to lead JCI Bangladesh for the year 2021.

We at JCI strive every second to make this world a better place for us.

Year 2020 has been very challenging for the entire world and Bangladesh is no exception. But we are a resilient nation and I would like to believe and hope that 2021 will bring new possibilities, good health, achievements, happiness and empathy.

JCI Bangladesh is one of the leading youth organization in Bangladesh that is constantly providing development opportunities empowering young people to create positive changes throughout the country. We are already operating in Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet to bring positive changes in the society. As the year progresses, we plan to spread our positivity to more corners of Bangladesh.

JCI Bangladesh is a platform of creating leaders through providing each individual member with multiple opportunities such as networking, training, community involvement etc. As a youth organization we embrace diversity and believe in unity to overcome any hurdles and achieve new milestones. We believe that every individual has a unique leadership quality, and this year one of our main focus will be to create leaders for the present and the future. The members are the heart of JCI Bangladesh, and 2021 will witness multiple top-notch events to engage and motivate the members.

Finally, one single person can just achieve few things in life, but when the “one” becomes “we”, miracles happen. Let us all work hand in hand to take JCI Bangladesh to newer exaltation. As we progress let us embody the 2021 slogan of JCI Bangladesh “BeYouToGrowBeyond”. welcoming you all on board for the most amazing year of JCI Bangladesh.

 

JCI Bangladesh Inauguration Ceremony 2021

The official journey of the newly elected Committee of Junior Chamber of International (JCI) Bangladesh has started its journey. The inauguration ceremony of the newly elected committee of JCI Bangladesh was held at Le Meridien in Dhaka on Friday (January 23) afternoon. The journey of the new Board began with the formal the chain handover between the former President Ms. Sarah Kamal and the newly elected President Mr.Niaz Morshed Elite.

Dr. Hasan Mahmud, MP, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Information, Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh and joint General Secretary of Awami League graced the program as Chief Guest.

The British Deputy High Commissioner to Bangladesh Mr. Javed Patel, Chairman of Suchinta Foundation Mr. Mohammad A Arafat, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Barrister Shah Ali Farhad and Chairman of Fortune Suz Limited Mizanur Rahman were present as special guests.

 

  The Chief guest Dr. Hasan Mahmud said, “Bangladesh can be expected to become the golden Bengal of Bangabandhu’s dream under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of Bangabandhu, before 2041, with the joint efforts of the people of the country.”

Addressing the JCI youth, he said, “We have to dream not only for ourselves or our families, but for the whole country and the people of the country. Only then the country will reach to its goal.”

Referring to Bangladesh as a country of food surplus, the Information Minister said, “Bangladesh, which was under food shortage in 2008, is now a country of food surplus under the leadership of Honb’le Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.”

Under the able leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter, we are the first in South Asia and the 20th in the world in terms of the ability to deal with COVID-19. The immense energy of the youth is always crucial to keep this unprecedented trend of progress in the country intact.”

Special Guest Javed Patel, Deputy High Commissioner of British Commission, said, ‘I congratulate JCI Bangladesh on its success over the past year. Historically, the youth of Bangladesh have always played a leading role in bringing positive change in their society. The United Kingdom will continue to support Bangladesh by developing the leadership skills of its young people, and by providing equitable, inclusive and sustainable social and economic growth, well-being and prosperity. ”

ISSUE 1

In his welcome address, President Niaz Morshed Elite said, ‘We are standing at a milestone in Bangladesh. This year is a milestone for all of us born in this beautiful country. Bangladesh is celebrating its fiftieth birth anniversary this year and in the meantime we are on the path of increasing development in almost all world indices.

Our founding father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman laid the foundation of this great nation.” He called upon all the members of JCI Bangladesh and the able leadership to uphold the trend of development.

Mohammed A. Arafat, Chairman of the Suchinta Foundation, encouraged youth leadership to build a positive position in the digital space in a modern changed world, peace, empathy, and coexistence between different groups. He lauded the contribution of an organization like JCI in building a progressive and modern developed state by countering extremism.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Barrister Shah Ali Farhad said, “The biggest partner and ally in youth development is the Awami League government and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The youth must come forward to implement the vision of 2041.”

Mohammad Mizanur Rahman,Chairman of Fortune Shoes Ltd. said that Bangladesh is now a global example of business ,trade and economic growth. Country’s GDP and foreign investment is proof of that.

He said that he was happy to be involved in JCI’s initiative and assured that he would always be by the side of the youth in any initiative.

In the program, the inaugural organizing committee Chair and National Vice President Mr. Imran Kadir said, “The JCI 2021 National Board of Directors has re-emerged from a recent democratic election and is a true reflection of our members’ beliefs, feelings and dreams towards this organization. We are committed to uphold the dream projects of the local chapter with our strategic, ethical and intellectual support. “

A fashion show was held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of independence, courtesy of Vasavi Fashion Limited. After the dinner, the program ended with a captivating cultural program with the musical performance of popular singer Sabrina Porshi.
