On 19th March 2021, childrenfrom SOS Children’s Village Dhaka participated in this fantastic event where they unleashed their creativity. The event also took place in five other locations including Rajshahi, Khulna, Bogura, Chattogram and Sylhet in collaboration with six SOS Children’s Villages in these locations. Over 850 children participated in this event.

Woman of Inspiration Award 2021

The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh presents “Woman of Inspiration Award 2021” was held at a five-star hotel in Dhaka on Saturday, 27th March, marking International Women’s Day.
“Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a Covid-19 world” was the theme of 2021 International Women’s Day. Based on the theme, JCI Bangladesh conceptualized the program and recognized women’s achievement by giving the Women of Inspiration Award 2021 to 13 female leaders in Bangladesh.
The award was presented to honour the extraordinary women who lead by example, live on purpose, and inspire others to be more, said a press statement. Among the award categories were Entrepreneurship, Banking, Legal Affairs, Business Innovation, Medical Innovation, Defence, Art & Culture, Fashion and Beauty, Media, Corporate Leadership.
This year, the awards recognized Masuma Rahman Nabila, Nahita Nishmin, Nasima Akter Nisha, Preema Nazia Andalib, Farhana Rafiq Uzzaman, Advocate Nahid Sultana Juthi, Barrister Rashna Imam , Rukhmila Zaman, Dr Senjuti Saha, Sanjida Haq Arefin Luna, Shamima Nasrin, Tina F Jabeen, and Col Dr Zebun Nahar for their magnificent display of finesse and irrefutable success in their respective fields.
Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, honourable speaker of Bangladesh parliament, attended the event virtually as the chief guest. Sagufta Yasmin Emily, member of parliament from Munshiganj 2, and Barrister Shah Ali Farhad, special assistant to the prime minister, were present as special guests, while Ms JoAnne Wagner, deputy chief of mission, US Embassy, was there as distinguished guest.
The program was hosted by Niaz Morshed Elite, national president of JCI Bangladesh. The chief coordinator of the Women of Inspiration Award 2021 was Tasmina Ahmed Sraboni, convener of the program was Ismat Jahan Lissa, and co-convener Mr Ziaul Haque.
Among others, JCI Bangladesh’s national officers, local presidents, members, business leaders, diplomats, government officials, and other dignitaries were present at the event.
The platinum sponsor of the event was Daraz and the gold sponsors were BNO, Warah, OCode, and AIS.

Bangabandhu JCI Bangladesh Cricket Tournament 2021

With the objective of upholding the spirit of JCI through proper sportsmanship, strengthening the bonding and with the intention of putting up a day long cricket championship festival, Bangabandhu JCI Bangladesh Cricket Tournament 2021 was organized.
JCI Bangladesh National President Niaz Morshed Elite, MP Ahagufta Yeasmin Emily and MP Tanvir Hasan Choto Monir were present on the Tournament as Chief Guest and special guests. All respected NGB members of JCI and Past National Presidents were also present to enjoy the day long cricket tournament.
The winning team in the NGB VS LP Tournament was NGB team.
JCI Dhaka South became the Plate Champion of the Tournament And JCI Dhaka Young became of Cup Champion of Bangabandhu JCI Bangladesh Cricket Championship 2021.

President of JCI Bangladesh signed the agreement on behalf of their respective
organizations. Tasmina Ahmed Sraboni, First Lady, JCI Bangladesh Mariam Javed Juhi,
Head of City Alo-Women Banking, City Bank was also present in the signing ceremony.

JCI Bangladesh Debate & Public Speaking Championship

JCI Banglaesh Hosted Public SpeakingChampionship with over 50 participants from all the chapters. After 2 intense days, the title finally clinched to Sanama Faiz of JCI Dhaka East with Asef Amer from JCI Dhaka Uptown becoming 1st Runners-up and Rafid Ahnaf from JCI Dhaka West becoming 2nd Runners-up.

JCI Banglaesh Hosted Debating Championship with over teams from 10 chapters. After preliminary rounds of exciting debates, JCI Dhaka Uptown and JCI Dhaka West reached the grand finale. JCI Dhaka Uptown became the champion
while JCI Dhaka West became RunnersUp.
